FALL County Girls Basketball, 5th grade thru HS
Our opening league for the school year! Poulsbo Parks and Recreation is taking sighnups for all athletes with teans hitting the courts as they form. CK athletes will meet Tuesdays/Thursdays starting Sept. 11 at CKJH, 5:30-7:00 until teams form. Fall basketball through Poulsbo Parks and Recreation, CKGBA, and SKGBA provides about 10 games per team starting early October and going through Nov. 22. There will be 5/6th , 7/8th and HS divisions. Normal high school rules apply. Officiated games are played during weekday evenings in local junior high school gyms. There is some travel required to gyms in North Kitsap, Central Kitsap, Port Orchard, and Bainbridge Island. Stop by and register at the Rec. Center or call 779-9898.

Prepare your team for your school season! The league will play normal HS rules, 20-minute halves, double headers each Sunday to provide game training for your team. Divisions for 7/8th grade and 5/6th grade boys. Get your first league session in now with games on Sundays in Poulsbo area gyms. 10 games, plus an end of season tourney Nov 17th/18th. Normal schedule will be two games per day. NK High School, Kingston and Poulsbo Middle schools. Register at the Poulsbo Rec. Center or call 779-9898.

Girls in grades 5/6 and 7/8 can prepare yourselves for your school season! The league will play normal HS rules, 20-minute halves, double headers each Sunday to provide game training for you and your team. This will be a great transition to your tryout date. EOS playoff Jan 26/27.
Team release forms and fees must be submitted prior to Nov 21st.

Basketball Basics: Boys and Girls, 3-8th grades, Saturdays
Basketball Basics is nine years old and running strong. Our coaches continue this high-energy training for kids in all aspects of basketball. The kids have the advantage of a supportive and disciplined approach to roundball. The kids like to call it basketball practice, but its focus is on the fundamentals that usually don’t find much time in team practices. Some offensive and defensive teamwork is taught. Cooperation and good sportsmanship are emphasized throughout. Each session culminates with half-court and/or full-court games. This is a good supplement to County Girls, Peewees and junior high school basketball. No Basics on Nov 24. Poulsbo Jr. High.

Mighty Midget Basketball: Boys and Girls, K-3 grades, Thurs/Sat
Local NK Basketball Coaches. Your own ball, 8 ½ foot baskets, and 6 weeks of Saturdays with practice and games! Our practice sessions will be devoted to training with some scrimmage time. Coach ratio will not exceed 10-1 and will most likely be less. Training sessions will be large group and small, with help available to work on those really hard techniques! We will install drop down baskets on the main floor to allow “full court” games for our young superstars. Some seating will be available for parents to follow the actions. Wear a white tee shirt to each session. Price includes your own ball. No class Nov 22 & 24. Poulsbo area gyms.

Not playing school ball? We have a competitive league for you! Bremerton City League has divisions for 9th-12th grade boys. All games are held at the Bremerton P&R gym located at 680 Lebo Blvd in Bremerton. League is open to players who are not enrolled on a school or select team. Registrations must be complete by Nov. 24th! Practices will be in NK area gyms.

Basketball: Poulsbo Parks and Recreation Winter Rec
This is the best recreation basketball program available in the area! Our league provides consistent practices during the week for the duration of the season, 9 game minimum, team assignments based on player/coach/parent requests simplifying ride shares and friends on the same team, constant contact with the league coordinator for problem solving and scheduling issues, and 2 WIAA certified referees for 6th grade and above games. This is the safest, most enjoyable league your child will have the opportunity to play in. The emphasis continues to be on equal playing time, safe play and good sportsmanship. Girl and boy program specifics are listed below. Early registration deadline is Saturday, Nov 24.
Poulsbo has partnered with Bainbridge Island P&R and Tracyton Youth to improve the number of teams at each grade level! Divisions will be split into gold and silver divisions if numbers support and, for 6th grade and above, there will be end of season playoffs!!!

Winter Recreational County Girls
County Girls basketball is an exciting activity for our young people. Divisions will be by grade, starting with 3rd and going through 7th/8th. With parent, coach and club agreement, 2nd graders can play on a 3rd grade team. We will take registrations from all school age athletes and form divisions based on the number of teams at each grade level. We are especially interested in the elementary schools forming their own teams at each grade level!!!

Winter Recreational County Boys
For boys in grades 3-5, we have a winter recreational basketball instructional league. This league offers 2 practices per week, half court defense only and mandatory rotations solid competition and a fun, learning experience. League divisions will be by grade and kids in grades 3-5 will play other area teams.
