Centennial Park
Development of the west side of Dogfish Creek was partially completed in 2008, and included a parking lot, entry way improvements, a pedestrian walkway, plantings, interpretive signage, and the addition of a sculpture.
In the fall of 2009, additional improvements are taking shape: The Poulsbo Rotary Club and Poulsbo Lions Club have improved the two pedestrian bridges that cross the creek; the Rotary Club is renovating the overlook near the creek; and the building of two pergolas and installation of two picnic tables will complete much of the 2009 work. American Legion Park
Tree roots have taken a toll on the asphalt trail at ALP, and repairs will soon be made to improve the walking areas.
Urban Paths of Poulsbo
The creation of a city-wide trail plan for the City of Poulsbo is continuing. This plan will also look at connecting to regional trail systems to the south and north of the city.
College Marketplace Ball Fields
The project will develop two ballfields and parking in the College Marketplace Development in West Poulsbo.
North Kitsap Regional Event Center
The North Kitsap Regional Events Center master plan provides a long
term vision that will improve the quality of life for people within the
North Kitsap School District boundaries (including the communities of
Poulsbo, Hansville, Keyport, Indiannola, Kingston and Port Gamble)
and those living on Bainbridge Island. The Events Center will be
an easily reached, identifiable community focal point where people
gather to socialize, participate in cultural activities and recreate. It
also will accommodate regional sports tournaments.
